Toy Merchandising Champion

We're looking for Toy Merchandising Champion Merchandisers who thrive on delivering excellence and inspiring others to do so too. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, dedicated to The Entertainer concessions within Tesco stores in the Devon and Cornwall areas.

You will be responsible for ensuring the Entertainer space is set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, shelves are well-stocked, and that your fellow merchandisers are trained in all things toys!

You will operate within a region, travelling across the Devon and Cornwall areas to achieve coverage and quality targets by supporting, training and coaching colleagues.

About the role:

You will be working across Devon and Cornwall areas., You'll coach and train fellow merchandisers on merchandising principles and the correct processes and procedures to ensure we offer a high-quality service to our clients.

-You'll lead inducting and training new merchandisers working on The Entertainer concession within Tesco stores.

-You'll support the Regional Manager in identifying skills gaps and support the resulting upskilling initiatives.

-Compliance and Standards
-You'll provide accurate and timely feedback to our client account teams as the eyes and ears in the stores.

-You'll act as a compliance champion, holding yourself and your colleagues accountable to deliver the highest standards.

-You'll know and stick to the merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures and health and safety guidance.

-Partnership Support
-You'll build and maintain good working relationships with instore colleagues, particularly department and store managers, and local Entertainer Field Managers.

-You'll provide quality feedback and category intelligence to the client account team.

Happy to travel across the defined area

-A full UK driving license and access to a car that can be used for business purposes is required

-Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Thrive having ownership of your own work within set time frames, using your own initiative to find solutions

-Take pride in delivering great standards and service for our clients

-Experience training or coaching colleagues would be a bonus

-Are willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (you'll be paid extra to do so)

-Are confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions about your tasks

Salary: Tier 1 £24, 375 Tier 2&3 £26,325 (pro-rata)

Contracted hours: 20 per week
