Trade Compliance is an exciting part of the RS business, which is enabler to creating new opportunities and maintaining existing ones for the business brands while protecting the business by conforming to legal and regulatory requirements globally.

The Trade Compliance team are the experts in how we screen our external partners, manage export control requirements across the globe and working alongside our external partner e2Open (provider of our compliance real time screening tool).

As a member of the Trade Compliance Team, you will be a key player in ensuring our customers are supported at every stage of the compliance journey to the point that they receive the products they have ordered.

What you will be doing:

As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be managing export controls (dual use) to determine export licencing requirements, managing sanctions/embargoes, and managing the screening of our customers, vendors and 3PLs where there is a potential match against a Denied Party List.

You will provide support to the external and internal audits and inspections and manage releasing of legal holds for all markets, globally. Build appropriate relationships ensuring integrity with the local market and credibility of advice and build relationships with all local government bodies.

  • Has a logical, considered and balanced approach to business issues and can operate in a high-pressured environment to deliver optimum solutions.

  • Self-motivated, flexible and organised. Can demonstrate the ability to prioritise workloads, multi-task and act on own initiative.

  • Broad based Trade and Export Controls background with experience of Customer Services.

  • Experience in dealing effectively and confidently with Government organisations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strives for high performance in both themselves and others and understands the importance of personal development.

  • Previous experience in an import/export role.

  • Has demonstrable planning, time management and prioritisation skills.

  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft office.

  • An understanding of ERP applications.
