Full Job Description

The Lancaster City Council Trade waste collection team has the responsibility for delivering a financially competitive, proactive and customer focused residual waste and recycling collection service for business in the wider Lancaster region. To build and develop on current customer base the team is now looking for a motivated individual to add to our current workforce. You will work alongside the members of the wider Waste and Recycling team to ensure service delivery to our customers within the district, ensuring that KPI targets are met, and a high standard of work is achieved., At Lancaster City Council we aim to have a diverse workforce that is representative of the district that we serve, and provide a working environment where each employee feels able to bring their whole self to work. The successful candidate must demonstrate good working skills and techniques with an attention to detail, the ability to work on your own initiative and with minimum supervision but able to be part of the wider team. You will need to have good computer and communication skills and will be expected to manage your own time management and workload.

The post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday and you will be based at White Lund Depot, Morecambe.

The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post.
