Full Job Description

Trading Applications Support is the first call for the firm's trading teams regarding their trading needs and trade processing.

A candidate in this role interfaces with all EMEA based trading teams, Technology teams, External vendors, Risk Management, Operations, Brokers.

We are looking for a L 1/L2 Trading Applications Support Analyst - FIC to join our team in London providing trade support to all EMEA Trading Teams on the firm's proprietary and external trading applications. You will be responsible for resolving client and application issues stemming from use of our trading platforms to executing trades across global markets.

The role will be focused on business support across fixed income products (FICC) Trading production support, Trade issue resolution, ad-hoc project, new user set ups and training and application Realtime monitoring.

You will be part of a Global Support Team (the sun model) helping to provide our users base with world class service.

Principal Responsibilities

Trade Support:

  • Level 1+ support for Fixed Income, Commodities and FX Trading systems - First call for all EMEA based trading groups

  • Fixed Income Algo Support - support Millennium's proprietary platform for electronic and algo trading. This includes testing, capturing requirements, marketing & implementing the algos with our PM teams.

  • Level 2 support - assist with automating processes to increase efficiency and streamline trade support

  • Incident & Change management

  • Document and create new knowledge base to provide the most effective solutions to trading issues

  • Manage communications with wide range of stakeholders (firm management, brokers, development teams, risk management)


  • Trading Platform Onboarding and Management:
  • Platform onboarding : coordinate with vendors/internal application owner and tradefloor support to ensure trading platforms are correctly installed, configured, and tested

  • User onboarding : responsible for the setup of new users, configuring accounts, product permissions, coordinate with risk for trading limits, coordinate test trades

  • User Trainings : Provide training to new users on various technology stack (Trading application, risk management platforms, APIs)

    3+ years of experience in a Trade Support / Business Analyst role in a major financial institutions (sell side / buy side / trading firm)

  • Previous experience supporting fixed income & derivatives trading platform such as Bloomberg, TT, Tradeweb, BidFX, WebICE a plus

  • Exposure in multiple asset class (EQ Derivatives, Interest Rates derivatives, Equities Cash markets, Fixed Income, Credit) a definitive plus

  • Good understanding of Unix / Windows environments

  • knowledge of an object oriented programing language (Python, Java) and API concepts (HTTP protocol, RestAPIs..) a definitive plus

  • Intermediate SQL skills

  • Familiarity with middle and back office systems, risk management tools (Murex,openLink,Imagine..) and with Bloomberg or Reuters market data services a plus

  • Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency - problem management and escalation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail oriented, accountability and strong sense of ownership

  • Ability to work in a very fast pace environment

  • Strong enthusiasm for the trading floor environment and new technologies

  • Fast learner with a demonstrated aptitude to grasp new concepts quickly
