Full Job Description

As a TLE (Traffic Law Enforcement) Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with our client base including Safety Camera Units/ Police/ Local Authorities & National Highways. Reporting directly to the UK Sales Director, you'll support the wider Sales team in gaining and developing new projects to deliver the Jenoptik Intelligent Transport Solutions (ITS) and Road Safety products to the market.,

  • Meeting and developing relationships with potential clients to develop road safety schemes for our client base.
  • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders to understand customer objectives and develop solutions to address these.
  • Work alongside project managers and engineering resources to fulfil the design specifications based on initial requirements from our clients.
  • Compile presentations to deliver to clients develop quotes & price build ups for tender submissions working alongside our bid management team.
  • Take full ownership and accountability for Order Intake for your territory within the Road Safety / ITS and Law Enforcement sectors.
  • Develop, forecast, and deliver a pipeline of orders through the application of strategic account planning, prospecting and opportunity qualification, capture planning, bidding, and closing solution-based sales.
  • Write/review successful proposal/bid responses aligning with company themes and key messages and solution attributes.
  • Working with third party road safety organizations (Trade Bodies / associated companies and consultancies) to promote Jenoptik's solutions and position our commercial offering in line with customer and market needs.
  • Represent the company at Trade and Industry events, including providing presentations Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's technical products, services, and processes.
  • Providing intelligence to the business regarding future technical requirements, competitor analysis, market trends and future areas of growth or opportunity.
  • Update and maintain the sales database for monthly reporting.

    A demonstrable background in working in UK Road Safety, providing an understanding in the methodology and practices utilised with the Sector as well broad understanding of safety technology that is available.
  • An understanding of processes and connected stakeholders when delivering road safety projects.
  • An experienced field-based Sales Account Manager with a professional, collaborative approach to building and maintaining customer relationships to understand needs. o Experience and training in result driven, value-based project sales with effective consultative communication skills.
  • Experience of managing accounts and developing business with Public Sector bodies in the ITS industry.
  • Candidates will be required to successfully obtain security clearance.

  • Ability to work independently and to tight timescales while managing multiple opportunities, tasks, stakeholders, and priorities effectively., Demonstrable experience in a dynamic TLE sales environment and/or degree in Business Management or a relevant field.
  • Understanding of road safety statistics, artificial intelligence analytics, video analytics, ANPR, object detection, tracking and recognition.
  • Familiarity with traffic safety regulations, road infrastructure, and transportation systems.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office-tools and CRM databases.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Current UK Driving Licence.
