Full Job Description

You have probably seen the work of our traffic management business and our safety conscious traffic management operatives, who are responsible for helping commuters to travel safely through temporary roadworks. Traffic Management Operatives deliver, install, collect, exchange and maintain temporary traffic equipment (temporary traffic lights, signage, frames, sandbags and cones). Here are some of the activities that you would get involved with…

  • Checking equipment and systems are fit for use and fully operational
  • Recording any damage
  • Maintaining battery banks
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Managing checklists
  • Completing timesheets and risk assessments
  • Ensuring vehicles, tools and other equipment are maintained and ready to use
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, tidy and clean yard

A full and valid UK driving licence is needed, along with great communication skills, and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Working in and on highways can be dangerous, so an appreciation of why we always operate safely, don't take risks or short cuts is essential. Some experience of working in a similar role or in a safety critical environment would be beneficial.

In addition to helping you reach your career goals, a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 22 days per annum, we also offer perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well-known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, cycle to work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme.
