Full Job Description

  • Test and repair traffic signals, cables, controllers, and other related equipment across all depots where possible, when not possible arrange for the equipment to be returned to the manufacturer for repairs

  • Maintain and rotate our battery fleet

  • Assist with minor maintenance on vehicles

  • Hire and off hire traffic lights

  • Hire and maintenance of traffic light trailers

  • Support for all depots for any issues regarding traffic lights

    Full UK driving licence

  • Ability to work outside

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Meticulous record management

  • Your core working hours will be Monday - Friday 07:30 am till 5:00 pm, however, you may be required to work outside of these on occasion to ensure our workload is operationally ready

    Streetwise UK Management, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician on a full-time permanent basis to be based in Birstall, Leeds. You will be predominately based in the Yorkshire depot but will be required to go to live sites and our other depots as the need arises.


  • Whilst primarily based in the workshop, you will be required to assist with delivery to sites and battery exchanges/breakdowns. You will also be tasked with collecting/delivering stock to our depot network. You will need to maintain parts stock levels and take pride in your work.
