Full Job Description

Job Profile: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee to join our team in the Facilities & Hospitality Team. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in maintaining the overall cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our premises. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop a diverse skill set in the facilities and hospitality industry.Duties and Key Responsibilities:Facilities Maintenance Support

  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance of building facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety,
  • and functionality.
  • Monitor and report any repair or maintenance needs (e.g., lighting, plumbing, etc.).
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining equipment and supplies for daily operations.
  • Support the Head of Facilities & Hospitality in coordinating regular inspection safety
  • checks.Hospitality Services:
  • Help prepare and maintain common areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for
  • staff and visitors.
  • Assist in setting up for meetings, events, and conferences (including arranging
  • refreshments, seating, etc.).
  • Support the hospitality team in managing daily tasks, such as stocking supplies,
  • replenishing refreshments, and maintaining kitchen areas.
  • Assist with customer or client requests, offering friendly and professional service.
  • Gardening and Outdoor Maintenance:
  • Assist in maintaining gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces (weeding, trimming,
  • watering, planting, etc.).
  • Support the gardening team in managing seasonal planting and landscaping tasks.
  • Help monitor and report on the condition of plants, trees, and outdoor features.
  • Maintain garden tools and equipment in good working order.
  • General Administrative Support:
  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of maintenance, hospitality, and
  • gardening tasks.
  • Keep records of completed tasks and report on progress to the Facilities Manager.
  • Help with inventory management of supplies for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working
  • environment.
  • Report any hazards or issues to the appropriate departments or supervisors.

    Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance, hospitality practices, or gardening
  • (training will be provided).
  • Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and take on diverse tasks.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended
  • periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
  • Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A variety of practical skills with the ability to carry out minor repairs
  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to read, digest
  • and adhere to written instructions.
  • Good IT skills
  • Full driving licence is required due to the nature of the role
