Trainee Accountant

Rainbowwave is looking for a new team member who is keen to develop a career in accountancy.,

• Treasury responsibilities - daily and weekly cash reporting; bank allocation; monthly bank reconciliations


• Accounts payable responsibilities - process and manage invoices accurately and on time for suppliers across the agency and retail businesses. Ensure payment runs are input into bank ready for execution.


• Process and manage the expenses and credit cards for all employees in the company


• Plan exams timetable and agree timeline to qualification. Ensure time is given for study to ensure exams are passed. Pay rises will be given on passing each exam


• During the second and third years more responsibilities will be given to ensure you are gaining the right experience to support your growth and career progression. This will include preparation of management accounts; support with budgeting and forecasting; preparation for year end accounts; VAT and other HMRC returns. In addition, to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time., Your file must be a .doc, .pdf, .docx, or .rtf. You must be of graduate calibre with good academics and evidence of good analytical skills. This role includes a study package (CIMA or ACCA)., Some experience working within an international fashion business would be advantageous.

IT Skills

Experience with Microsoft Windows essential - especially Excel. Rainbowwave use Sage and Xero accounting software for processing financial documents and preparing accounts.

The candidate should be:

• Able to follow through with any issues ensuring appropriate action is taken to resolve getting the appropriate support where necessary

• A trustworthy, reliable, team player who is able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
