Creative collaboration - Knowing strength comes from diversity, we combine our experiences, skills and talents, working together to find new and better ways to care., The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is keen to recruit a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the growing service within the Emergency Department. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, led by the lead ED Consultant, you will practice under supervision within an acute setting to provide patient-centred, high-quality care and ensure safe referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in any area of the Emergency Department.
This will encompass the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice within the Emergency Department whilst being accountable and self-directed in line with the relevant code of professional conduct.
You will be supported to undertake an MSc in Advanced Practice at a designated University in order to develop into an autonomous practitioner and once completed will be encouraged to undertake the RCEM credentialing process., You will assess and prioritise patients attending the Emergency Department with undifferentiated health conditions, working across all areas including rapid assessment and treatment, minors, clinical decision unit, majors and resuscitation, providing an advanced and comprehensive level of assessment based on a specialist body of knowledge.
You will have direct responsibility under supervision for the management of patients within your own case load, and will also supervise the clinical duties and development of junior members of the multi-disciplinary team.
