Full Job Description

  • Premium Crops is expanding its contracting capability in the UK and as such is looking for someone to provide on-farm technical support, helping to reinforce the relationship between growers and the company
  • Supporting and Co-ordinating Crop trialling and Product Development throughout the UK.
  • Data analysis
  • Coordinating projects and supporting the agronomists
  • The successful candidate will be speaking with farmers and growers on a face to face and telephone basis as well as supporting all aspects of the supply chain from initial contact, through to contract completion.
  • Accountabilities
  • Support the Group Agronomy function with field visits and recommendations to existing contracted growers.
  • Data analysis of new and historic data to identify opportunities to improve crop management.
  • Coordinating and managing project work loads
  • Act as a point of contact for agronomists and advisors to contracted growers.
  • Assist with commercial and marketing activities as appropriate.
  • Support collaborative R&D programmes with academic/research organisations.

    A scientific/agricultural background is essential - a sound knowledge of crop/plant physiology, crop nutrition, trial design is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of agriculture and/or crop protection is essential (training will be provided)
  • Creative and imaginative. Ability to generate ideas and solve problems.
  • Confident, outgoing and with good networking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to use basic Microsoft office programmes; Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong team-worker but able to manage own time.
  • Willingness to travel/stay overnight within UK.
  • Full and clean driving licence
