Full Job Description

As a Trainee PWP you will work to develop a variety of skills including how to conduct an initial assessment, how to assess and manage risk concerns, and how to deliver low intensity cognitive behavioural interventions to clients via guided self-help therapy.
This work will be conducted face-to-face, by phone and video. You'll manage your own caseload of clients involving clinical and administrative duties including keeping clinical records of screening referrals using our service protocols. There will be assignments to complete as part of the apprenticeship to advance your training journey. You'll engage in clinical and reflective supervision with an experienced PWP and you'll work with a 'buddy', who is a qualified PWP, to apply learning into practice and deliver evidence-based care.
After qualifying from the PWP training course you would able to apply for a Band 5 qualified PWP roles at any other Talking Therapies service. From there you have the potential to progress to more senior band 6, 7 or 8a PWP roles, or to train as a CBT therapist to further your clinical career.
Hours of work will be 9am - 5pm four days a week and 12-8pm on one day a week. However, some flexibility with start and finish times can be considered in order to support staff who have caring or other responsibilities.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer opportunities for part time / compressed hours or remote contracts as part of this role due to the nature and regulations of the training course.
