Full Job Description

The clinical laboratory team provides a High Quality Specialist Diagnostic Service to improve the Health Care of the people of South of Tyne and Wear. An opportunity has arisen for a Cellular Pathology Trainee Biomedical Scientist/Specialist Biomedical Scientist position. The post holder will be based within the Cellular Pathology Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gateshead, It is a primary role of the post to provide accurate diagnostic results to service users, advice to clinical users of the service whilst working as a team to achieve RCPath expected turnaround times. The post holder will be expected to further develop knowledge and skills of the diagnostic techniques of the Cellular Pathology department.

The post holder will have a developed knowledge and experience in Cellular Pathology .

Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
