Full Job Description

A Trainee chaplain is required to join a multi-faith Chaplaincy Team serving this prestigious group of specialist teaching hospitals in the centre of London., You will have some experience of delivering pastoral, spiritual and religious care, part of which may have been gained whilst providing ministry within an Acute Hospital environment. A committed team member, you will work with other chaplains to provide pastoral and spiritual care to a culturally diverse community. A vital faith, together with a sensitivity that accepts people with beliefs that may be radically different from your own, is essential. The post offers excellent opportunities of developing a wide range of chaplaincy skills within a challenging and demanding environment. It is a fixed-term post and previous post-holders have moved on to more responsible chaplaincy posts with other Trusts.

You will be in good standing with your own faith or belief community. This will be affirmed by the leadership of any of the twelve faith/belief groups who are members of the Network for Pastoral, Spiritual & Religious Care in Health (NPSRCH), formerly the Healthcare Chaplaincy Faith & Belief Group (HCFBG).
