The Trust uses electronic new starter forms on Trac to collect personal details. Information collected is securely stored and used to set up the employee record on the ESR HR system., This is a training position post holder will undertake training at University College London alongside working in service for The Wellbeing Team. They will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. They will also be taught how to deliver interventions in the community, for example, participation activities, training and group delivery. The post holder will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into the service and trainees will receive supervision to support their professional development, as well as be expected to actively engage local communities.
Applicants will need to be ready to start work in early/mid-January 2025 and posts cannot be offered to candidates unless they can guarantee this start date.
Shortlisted candidates will also need to submit an application form to UCL for a place on the Diploma in Child Wellbeing Practice (see attached application guidance). Applicants need to work towards their studies outside of protected study time. Candidates must ensure that they address each point of the person specification in the application.

    Camden CAMHS Wellbeing Team are recruiting 4 trainee CWPs to continue to improve children and young people's mental health services in Camden. The training forms part of the service transformation initiative delivered by NHS England as part of the Children and Young People's Mental Health CYP Psychological Trainings (PT) (formerly CYP IAPT) programmes.
    Camden CAMHS Wellbeing Team, work with children and families aged 4-18. We provide group and individual CBT and parent training interventions to parents and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, or challenging behaviour. The team also has an active role in community engagement, offering trainings to universal services and service user involvement projects. The team includes 3 CWP's, 4 trainee CWP's, a parenting practitioner, CBT therapists, a supervisor and service lead.
    Although this is a fixed term contract there may be opportunities for employment as a band 5 CWP once the course is completed. The team values a supportive working environment, continued professional development and career advancement.
    Our team work closely with community multidisciplinary Teams.
