A great opportunity has arisen for Trainee Crop Managers, reporting to the Crop Managers, with real opportunities to progress your careerĀ Sandfields Farms Ltd is a fresh produce business, growing and packing Salad Onions, Asparagus, Legumes and Pumpkins across a 1600ha land base in Worcestershire and Warwickshire. This role will encompass all aspects of production including growing and harvest, supporting the Crop Managers daily with: Crop Walking Land planning, drilling programmes and crop establishment Irrigation Scheduling Agronomy Management of staff Regen Farming projects, AgTech and Innovation There will be opportunities to get involved with a wide range of crops as well as understanding the commercial and technical aspects of a large grower suppling major retailers. Skills and Knowledge An understanding of and commitment to H&S General understanding of good agricultural practices Reliable, willingness to learn, adapt and develop Good communication skills Excellent attention to detail IT proficient Qualified to Level 4/5 This role provides a great opportunity for somebody to start their career in farming, with a competitive package on offer with a full training programme, progression and development.
