Full Job Description

The roles will be predominantly working on Street Works/NRSWA inspections and associated work, but officers will be fully trained to conduct programmed highways inspections and highways enforcement and enforcement of waste management legislation, along with other tasks.

We are looking to recruit three enthusiastic trainee Inspectors/Inspectors (according to experience), within our Inspection and Enforcement team., Confidence in using computer systems including MS Office software are essential, as is the ability to deal sensitively with residents, councilors, utility companies and other statutory bodies with the highest standard of customer care in potentially confrontational situations.

You must be assertive with good people skills and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.

You must have the ability to gain knowledge of the following:

New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, the Traffic Management Act 2004; the Control of Pollution Act 1974; the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978; the Environmental Protection Act 1990; The Highways Act 1980; The Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 1990; the Town and Country Planning Act; the London Local Authorities Act and Borough Byelaws

Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, Salary Salary From £28,224 -£36,936 Depending on Skills and Experience
