Cambridgeshire based dB Broadcast Ltd, is the UK’s largest and most successful independent broadcast systems integrator and a highly respected centre of excellence for both traditional and IP-based broadcast systems from studio through to transmission. We deliver projects for a range of clients including the BBC, ITV, Sky, Warner Bros. Discovery and Arqiva.

We are looking for enthusiastic trainees to join our Production department. The positions would suit candidates who enjoy hands-on practical work, travel and working as part of a team and who can demonstrate a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn and progress. The successful candidates will possess problem solving abilities, accuracy and pride in their work.

The job role involves electro-mechanical assembly and cabling of broadcast systems and products at our modern premises on the edge of Ely, as well as installation of technical infrastructure on client’s sites in the UK, Europe and occasionally Worldwide. 

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

·       Pre-fabrication of cable assemblies, working to a detailed cable schedule

·       Electro-mechanical assembly of broadcast related products, working to detailed instructions and gold standard references

·       Electro-mechanical installation of equipment bays, both at the Company’s premises and on client’s site, working to layouts, schematics and detailed cable schedules  

·       Installation of broadcast related technical Infrastructure on client sites. Typically, this could be a broadcast centre, TV studio, edit suite, graphics areas, control rooms, news areas

·       Installation of cabling within technical furniture, working to a cable schedule and layout drawings

·       Mechanical assembly of satellite systems

·       Preparation of installation and site kits
