Full Job Description

You would provide entry-level support to an IT team maintaining the company's digital infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with experienced IT professionals, to gain skills and knowledge necessary to advance in the field.

Role responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, networking equipment, and other IT infrastructure.

  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, including tracking the issuance and return of hardware.

  • Assist in the procurement and setup of new hardware and software.

  • Help set up new user accounts, including configuring email, installing software, and providing basic training on IT systems.

  • Assist in providing guidance to users on proper use of IT resources and adherence to company IT policies.

  • Ensure proper disposal and recycling of outdated or broken equipment.

  • Assisting IT manager in ensuring the correct controls are in place to Cyber Essentials certification.

  • UAT testing of business systems prior to upgrades and patches.

  • Answering IT related queries via the IT portal.

  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.

    No prior professional IT experience is required, but a strong interest in technology and basic familiarity with computers and software is essential.

  • Previous internship, coursework, or personal projects related to IT are a plus.

  • Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and common software applications.

  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Customer service-oriented approach to handling user inquiries and issues.
