Trainee IT Field Engineer

This is an interesting and challenging role within the IT department. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing field-based support to over 2000 users.

You will be based at Head Office in Stratford upon Avon, however most days will entail site visits to any of our 50 remote sites.

The hours of work are 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Your responsibilities will include:

+ Preparation, installation and support of hardware.
+ Installation of licensed software.
+ Providing initial diagnosis and resolving of a variety of IT related issues.
+ Work alongside other IT Field Engineers on infrastructure projects.

Full training will be provided for relevant hardware and software but good knowledge of the following would be advantageous

+ Windows 10/11 & MS Office 365.
+ Mac OSx/iOS.
+ Android.
+ PC & Laptop hardware.
+ A good working knowledge of the basic principles of computer networks.
+ An analytical approach to problem solving.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with IT users of varying degrees of ability.
+ Ability to work well as part of a small team.
