Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Payments Team to appoint a career graded development role as a Payments Officer working within a data and numbers driven environment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our high achieving Payments Team who are responsible for all aspects of Payments across the Council and collection and management of debt.

You will be required to provide administrative support to the team, Team Leader and other colleagues from across the Council.

This will include but is not restricted to:

- Processing of financial data

- Running and analysing reports

- Recovery of monies in relation to overdue invoices

- Daily communication with internal and external customers

As part of this busy team you will need to be a fantastic communicator, highly organised and have a keen eye for detail. You should have the ability to work under pressure and understand the importance of good customer service, with the ability to prioritise your own workload and work effectively within a team.

Previous financial administrative experience is desirable, though we are primarily looking for the right candidate with clear passion to be able to deliver the expectations of the job summary, a drive to learn and an ability to work on their own initiative.
