Full Job Description

Location: Rochester. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Contract base salary is £24,773 + 25% twilight shift allowance,
Nature of role means the twilight shift requirement may change and your salary revert to base salary.
Twilight shift is based on 37 hours across 4 days Monday to Thursday.
What you'll be doing
+ As a Trainee Production Technician, you will join our trainee scheme and spend up to twelve weeks developing your hand skills in preparation for deployment to one of our shop floor areas. The scheme is split into two key sections, class room and shop floor, training will be provided in both
+ On successful completion you'll be assigned to a cell or process area where more specific on job training can continue. During this phase we're looking to identify Trainee suitability predominantly towards fitting/build and/or wiring/soldering disciplines. These disciplines are key to our build lines where high standards come from paying attention to small detail

+ GCSEs in Maths, English and 1 Science
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Be very thorough and detailed
+ A team player with a can do attitude
Desirable:
+ Previous experience of manual work

The Production Technician team:
There is a great opportunity for development and growth after the initial 9-month training period. Throughout this time your personal performance will be reviewed up to the point of completion. You will then have the chance to progress further with this role. BAE Technicians work with high technology on products such as Pilots Helmets, Head up Displays, Flight Control Computers and Sticks and Throttles.
