We currently have a vacancy for PWP trainee to work in the Steps 2 Wellbeing Team in the Rural localities of Weymouth & Portland and Mid/West Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity for people with the appropriate skills to join a highly motivated and committed team.

Steps to Wellbeing is a busy, dynamic and progressive service with a friendly and supportive team of qualified clinicians and staff in training.

The role itself is both demanding and rewarding; providing psychological interventions to people with mild to moderate common mental health problems in primary care. Experience of working within mental health, the NHS service or similar organisation is highly desirable., You would undertake academic training, provided and accredited by University of Exeter.Time would be split between University study and on-job training. The on-job training would include learning about CBT-based self-management for clients suffering from mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, using a stepped-care approach. All trainees will receive intensive supervision and support in their workplace as an integral element of their training. The post is a full time position, part time applications cannot be considered due to University commitments.

We do things differently here - it's one of the reasons the CQC rated us 'outstanding' in 2019. It's also why 95% of patients across our services say they have a good or very good experience of our services and 89% of staff feel they can really make a difference. Whether you're looking to work with us in one of our bustling market towns, vibrant urban locations, thriving seaside spots, or among the rolling hills of Dorset, there are lots of ways you can make a difference in our communities.
