This is a truly exciting time to join our team as we work towards launching our newly developed £10m Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) that will deliver first-class diagnostic care to our community.

The new centre will have the ability to deliver joined up diagnostic care, and with increased capacity this will ensure our patients will have faster access to treatment, earlier diagnosis, and improved outcomes.

We are looking for a highly motivated, hard-working individual who is able to commit to an intense but highly rewarding training course. Applications are welcome from any healthcare professional with a 2:1 or above graduate qualification in their area of expertise., In this post there is availability to undertake the clinical aspect of the Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound, with the taught component and assessment being provided by the University of the West of England. Units to be studied include abdominal, small parts, gynaecological and vascular ultrasound to M level. Upon successful completion you will be a qualified Sonographer (Ultrasound Practitioner) with a nationally and internationally recognised CASE accredited post-graduate diploma.

You will be training within a friendly team of dedicated and hardworking Sonographers within the Ultrasound Department at Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

Our department is passionate at providing an effective and high quality service. We use state of the art ultrasound equipment currently all Canon Aplio i600 units. We have 3 dedicated ultrasound rooms and also undertake some portable scanning for inpatients using GE Venue ultrasound unit.
