Full Job Description
A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses with drive & ambition to help shape the future of District Nursing services in Kent., We are looking for Registered Nurses who are passionate about enhancing the provision of care being delivered in their local area.
All candidates must have support from their Line Manager or Head of Service to apply for the program and will need evidence of this at interview.
The course commences in January 2025 at Avery Hill Campus, Greenwich University. The course is delivered as a blend of practice placements, directed study and classroom-based learning over 12 months. As a Full time student you will work under the direction of a Community Practice Assessor or Supervisor who holds the SPDN qualification, within a defined locality agreed on appointment.

Post Graduate Diploma in Community Specialist Practice: District Nurse(Work based learning route)12 months
In order to be considered you normally need to be….
· A registered nurse with 2 years post registration experience and at least 12 months Community Nursing experience
· Able to provide evidence of Degree award 2:2 or above(consideration could be made for those in receipt of Diploma in Higher Nursing Education with additional study at level 6)
· Active NMC Mentor, Practice Assessor or Supervisor
· Able to provide evidence of recent professional development in your clinical area
In addition, you need to be dedicated to working in partnership with the Multi-disciplinary team to promote health and well-being and integrate services. You must also be keen to develop your clinical leadership skills to improve healthcare delivery in your community and understand current practice and policy on issues relating to your area of clinical practice.
This secondment opportunity is offered at mid Band 5 pay, but matching of current salary will be considered in agreement with supporting evidence from your Heads of Service.
