Trainee Trade Counter Assistant

Spike Hydraulics Ltd are recruiting a Trainee Trade Counter Assistant based in Lowton Leigh WN7 3PT. Spike Hydraulics are a growing Hydraulic company with plans to develop further.

The Role of Trade Counter Assistant:

- Assist customers and build sales ensuring staff understand and carry out their duties effectively
- Represent the Trade Counter and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed sales targets
- Ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with as well as adhering to company Health and Safety requirements
- Ensure that the stock and stores area are well organised
- Ability to handle occasional lifting of oil delivery's and adhering to health & safety procedures
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of customers
- Manage the day to day running of the busy Trade Counter
- Ensure that the Trade Counter is merchandised
- Making Hydraulic Hoses to customer specification
- Delivering customer orders direct to there chosen branch.
- Full training to be a onsite hose technician working from a van in the future

Driving licence required
- Prior experience within a Hydraulic Industry not essential
- Excellent communication, time and people management skills
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Able to actively collaborate with the team
- Resilient and able to work well under pressure
- A desire to learn about Hydraulics
- A interest in Mechanics would be beneficial
- A knowledge of power tools would also be beneficial
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to work as a team and independently

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- 8am till 5.00pm
