Full Job Description

Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative (Variable Hours) to join our team at Warcop Camp in Cumbria. In this role, you'll help create and maintain a safe, efficient, and sustainable training environment for the Armed Forces.,

  • Main Responsibilities Ensure training areas and facilities meet the necessary standards for use Prepare and maintain training areas and ranges, including preventative and grounds maintenance tasks Operate and maintain plant and equipment (training provided) Drive and operate fleet vehicles Use training control systems, including warning systems like control offices, flags, and lights. Manage unauthorised access to training areas and report incidents Oversee the handover and return of facilities Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation Carry out any other additional requirements as needed

    As a Variable Hours member of staff, you will be guaranteed a minimum of 8 hours a month, with shifts typically falling in late evenings or early mornings. This position is ideal if you're seeking flexibility, whether you're looking to balance other commitments or earn extra income. Full training will be provided., Knowledge of Health & Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work Strong communication skills Basic skills in caretaking, labouring, and maintenance Competency in completing relevant paperwork Basic IT skills A full UK driving licence is essential for driving and operating fleet vehicles

    21:00 - 04:00 in the summer months and 17:00- 00:01 during the winter season However the candidate would be required to undergo a period of training to achieve the required standard within the probationary period.
