Full Job Description

  • Plan and coordinate functional/ Tech Centre owned training courses and programmes.
  • Design & develop functional/ Tech Centre training courses in line with business needs. Ensure training is modern and up to date with latest industry best practice/ technology.
  • Collate, compile and report on training assessment results, training attendance and other training data.
  • Ensure training courses are loaded into Company training management system and kept up to date with any changes. Implement improvements where identified.
  • Manage the booking of certain training courses to ensure value for money for the Company and that attendees are on training relevant to their role. This may include challenging and influencing senior stakeholders with the function/ Tech Centre.
  • Work with Function/ Tech Centre to arrange training venue, logistics, security considerations and any other relevant training requirements.
  • May be required to develop and implement a series of role-based competencies aligned to National Occupational Standards
  • May be required to develop and implement training accreditation's for specialist roles
  • All - Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player, Responsible for the day-to-day deliverables of the training programme within the function/ Tech Centre.
  • Respond to queries from potential or registered participants of training courses delivered by the function/ Tech centre.
  • Collect feedback for training completed both internally and externally. Audit external training providers to determine effectiveness.
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.

  • Strong and demonstrable organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:
  • Experience of working within a highly regulated industry preferably nuclear or Defence.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to manage, administer and record training.
  • Creative Problem-Solving and the ability to develop innovative solutions to address training challenges.
  • You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

    Package: £35,950 - £53,930 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience) Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight.
