In addition to supporting the training requirements of the Tech centre, you will also contribute significantly to enhance workforce capabilities and improve operational efficiency to foster a culture of continuous learning among employees.,
- Design and develop engaging, impactful, and learner-centric training materials, including instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, video content, and assessments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information, validate content accuracy, and ensure training materials are aligned with competency objectives and industry best practices.
- Analyse training needs and target audience to create tailored learning solutions that address specific skill gaps and performance improvement areas.
- Utilise instructional design principles to create learning experiences that promote active participation, critical thinking, and knowledge retention.
- Implement a variety of training methodologies, such as scenario-based learning, simulations, interactive activities, and multimedia elements, to enhance learning outcomes.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in training and development, incorporating relevant advancements into training programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through initial, formative, and summative assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, making continuous improvements based on insights gained., Design and develop innovative training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led courses, videos, interactive simulations, and assessments.
- Write clear and concise instructional content and assessments that align with learning objectives and target audience needs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather input and feedback on training materials, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain a repository of training resources, templates, and assets for consistent and efficient content development.
- Utilise a variety of instructional design methodologies, techniques, and tools to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Ensure that training content is current, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices and regulations which includes ED&I best practices.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of the training development process by sharing best practices and innovative ideas.
This role is ideally suited to a creative individual who enjoys creating education content and has an interest in emerging technologies and instructional design. Working within one of the Technology Centres, the successful candidate will be required to assess, interpret and evaluate training needs and content to design and develop programs that enhance knowledge and skills of employees., · Instructional design expertise and knowledge & understanding of ADDIE & Blooms taxonomy. · Strong writing & communication skills and able to communicate ideas both visually and verbally. Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following: · Proficiency in content design authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate etc. · Creativity & innovation; ability to create engaging and interactive content using multimedia (graphics, audio, video). · Problem solving and critical thinking skills. · Knowledge of adult learning principles. You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Package: £35,950 - £40,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience) Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight.
