Full Job Description
As a Training Planner & Scheduler, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Day-to-day, you'll provide training planning and scheduling expertise to deliver the annual training schedule for Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME).
- Liaise with training providers to ensure that a workable schedule is produced and deliverable within available resources.
- Manage and maintain the current schedule in accordance with the contractual framework by making amendments as required, publishing quarterly updates, and maintaining a full audit trail.
- Build the baseline schedule on the Training and Financial Management Information System (TAFMIS) for the following year using the dates agreed in Pam 3, ensuring that all resources are considered and available to produce a workable schedule.
- Provide advice and guidance on risk, constraints, assumptions, and opportunities to colleagues and to the Authority. To investigate and analyse "what-if" scenarios to inform best utilisation of resources and facilities.
- Liaise and work in close harmony with the Resource Coordinator to ensure training is achievable within site constraints. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2/3 days in the office/onsite and 2/3 days working from home.
- Demonstrated experience with an administrative environment (ideally within a training background although this is not essential)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience within client and customer management.
- Ability to learn different computer systems. Qualifications for the Training Planner & Scheduler
- A driving license is preferable due to site accessibility limitations. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Although the role will initially only require Standard (BPSS) security clearance, SC must be obtained once in post.
