Full Job Description
As a KS1 Class Teacher in this specialist setting, you will create and deliver personalized, engaging lessons for students with SEND. Your role will include working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each child's unique needs are met, supporting their growth and development every step of the way.,
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that support KS1 students with a variety of SEND.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and external specialists.
- Work closely with teaching assistants to ensure all students receive tailored support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure continued engagement and success.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to provide updates on student development and well-being.
- Collaborate with the wider school team to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting student needs.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - Experience working with KS1 students, particularly in SEN settings.
- A compassionate, patient, and creative teaching style that inspires confidence and curiosity.
- Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
