Full Job Description
What you'll do:
Provide expert advice to staff, patients, and carers on transfusion-related issues.
Promote safe, effective blood use and alternatives aligned with NICE recommendations.
Lead on transfusion-related training and competency programs for staff of all grades.
Monitor compliance with regulatory standards, including BSQR and ISO15189.
Drive service improvements through audits, research, and policy development.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Transfusion Practitioner to lead on blood transfusion initiatives across the Trust. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you'll ensure patients receive the highest standards of care and support through education, policy alignment, and compliance with national and international transfusion guidelines.
