Transfusion Research Network Manager

Working within the NHSBT Transfusion 2024 programme you will lead on establishing and developing a Transfusion Research Network (TRN) with the aim of increasing hospital clinical and laboratory participation in transfusion research. Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide transformational leadership and change management in preparing clinical and scientific staff to work in new ways, embracing innovation and technology including alternative settings.


• Developing and implementing policies and service developments that improve transfusion research activity across the NHS.


• Leading the day-to-day running and strategic development of the TRN network aiming to expedite the delivery of transfusion trials, providing evidence for improving outcomes and addressing health inequalities.


• Ensuring patient and public involvement is at the forefront of the network development and embedded into the network structure.


• Managing and finalising Key Performance Indicators of the TRN Work Plan, ensuring alignment with the aims of the Executive Group.


• Being the key contact for the TRN, consulting and working with key stakeholders, national groups, and members regarding TRN activities and projects.


• Leading designated training days and conferences, providing engaging.
  
  This senior post will play a key role in leading the establishment of a Transfusion Research Network with the aims of increasing hospital clinical and laboratory participation in transfusion research. We are looking for an ambitious leader who has experience of delivering change and will use their transfusion and research expertise to plan improvements that will make a difference to patient care.


You will use your excellent communication skills to work closely with clinical and scientific leaders and will include close collaboration with patient groups. This is an opportunity to work across national frameworks, gaining strategic experience in a programme that will expand your knowledge and skills.
