About our Preparing For Adulthood Team

The PFA Team provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in relation to working with individuals as they enter adulthood.

The team works collaboratively with other professionals, organisations/providers, carers and families. This team is pivotal in shaping and driving the Preparing for Adulthood programme forward.

We are passionate about working with individuals who require support, advice and guidance as they transition into adulthood and welcome applications from those who are keen to develop and want to improve the lives of Rotherham residents and shape the commissioning of services., Flexible working arrangements including hybrid working, to help you get the right work-life balance

We are looking for qualified social workers who share our vision and aspirations for people - social workers who want to make a difference.

As our ideal candidate you will:

Have experience from Children's or Adult's Services.
Have knowledge and experience of applying statutory legal frameworks and policies including the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Making Safeguarding Personal, and Continuing Healthcare Frameworks.
Root your practice in compassion, social work values and theories, understanding the why of what we do in our unique profession, to best promote people's wellbeing.
Be confident in working with situations of varying complexity and be able to make appropriate decisions quickly to support those in crisis, and to ensure people are seen and supported in a timely manner.
Know how to work with our partner agencies to help people find solutions to maximise their independence and resilience, enabling people to take positive risks, and lead good lives., Disability Confident
