Transport Clerk

Position: Transport Clerk Location: Northampton, Swan Valley Work Pattern: 4 on 4 off - 06:00-18:00 (12 hour shift) Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Closing Date: 27th November, 2024 HL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Clerk to play a vital role ensuring smooth-running of all transport scheduled activities. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Manage customer proof of deliveries for scanning/uploading and action missing proof of deliveries and returns
• Contact hauliers about delivery issues, raise incident reports and agree corrective actions
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks, driver hours checks.
• Communicating with the drivers and carrying out daily brief and de-briefs.
• Managing/reporting defects
• General administrative duties

• Experience working in a fast-moving warehouse/transport operation.
• Previous experience within a similar role is desirable.
• Knowledge of working time directive - desirable
• Knowledge of drivers hours and CPC/Digitacho requirement.
• Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office)
• Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally
