Pay Rate: £31,747 Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Nights Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off 18:00 - 06:00 Location: Enfield - EN3 4NQ DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Controller to play a vital role coordinating our contract with the NHS - Patient Transport Services. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:-

  • To ensure patient journeys are carried out in line with the contractual requirements
  • To ensure all DHL vehicles are fully utilised, with minimum down time through effective tracking & communication
  • Track vehicles to ensure journeys are being made successfully and resources are being fully utilised
  • To communicate effectively with all stakeholders (Hospital departments, sub-contractors and team members)
  • To ensure General Transport services and pathology collections and deliveries are carried out in line with the contractual requirements

  • Admin or customer services background is essential
  • Experience in the provision of booking delivery and collections using 3rd party suppliers, desirable
  • Some experience of controlling a logistics operation preferred
  • Scheduling experience
  • Patient transport experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
