Full Job Description

The Transport Coordinator is a key member of the team that includes the services Lead, Manager, Drivers, and Volunteers. The Coordinator will provide a high quality, prompt and efficient transport service for the patients and families under the care of Sobell House and Katharine House Hospices and is pivotal in maintaining the transport office systems and administration of processing all transport requests received., The main duties include:

  • Line management of the employed transport team and volunteer drivers.
  • Maintain the relevant databases capturing staff and volunteer activity and producing reports.
  • Deliver training to volunteers and staff pertinent to the transport role.
  • Assist to recruit and interview volunteers.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles are kept in good working order.
