Transport Coordinator

Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We're looking for a Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Darlington site, on the 1pm to 9pm shift, with occasional Night shift cover for annual leave

Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £25,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You'll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What you'll do on a typical day:

-To

cost effectively plan and dispatch routes to achieve contractual delivery times, conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan.
-To review the cost effectiveness of routes through KPI analysis, taking remedial action where necessary
-To ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
-To liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / sub contractors minimising the cost impact to the business
-To ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management
-To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets

What you need to succeed at XPO:

-Working knowledge of driver hours regulations
-Good geographical knowledge of the UK
-Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
-Financial Understanding

-Operational understanding of team roles
