As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective transportation of our modular buildings and structures. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating transportation routes, optimising delivery schedules, and managing logistical operations to meet customer requirements while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with transportation regulations., By embracing these responsibilities, you will lead the charge in creating a customer-focused and results-driven environment.   • Being a passionate advocate for a strong health & safety culture, inspiring teams to prioritise safety and embrace environmentally friendly practices.
  • Designing and executing safe, efficient transport deliveries that minimise risks and maximise cost-effectiveness.
  • Driving effective communication and transparency by ensuring the sharing of Method Statements and Lift Plans internally and externally.
  • Working with our Customers & Hauliers
  • Cultivating strong relationships with our transport providers and key stakeholders, driving operational excellence.
  • Developing customer plans that position Algeco as a preferred supply chain partner across all functions.
  • Anticipating future demands and proactively planning resource allocation to exceed customer expectations.
  • Supporting our Sales & Hire colleagues
  • Collaborating closely with the Head of Transport for flawless delivery of products and services to customers.
  • Maximising vehicle utilisation and efficiency while minimising costs through strategic planning and optimisation.
  • Vigilantly monitoring and controlling costs to provide cost-effective service to internal sales and hire customers.
  • Our transport team
  • Taking charge of day-to-day planning and management of the region and trusted haulage partners.
  • Maximising vehicle utilisation by identifying synergies and optimising efficiency and productivity.
  • Building strong relationships with third-party hauliers for seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, providing accurate information, and being a central point of contact for transport projects.
  • Proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities through strategic forward planning.

    As a Transport Planner at Algeco UK, we are looking for someone with experience and knowledge in transport planning. Your strong geographical understanding of the UK, along with familiarity with Lorry Loader Cranes (advantageous), will be valuable assets. You should possess influencing skills, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused mind-set with business acumen. Your drive, passion for planning and delivery, and ability to build strong relationships will contribute to our team.

    Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour week.Company benefits, sociable hours + 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
