Join our Transportation Routing team as a Transport Planner and help us optimize delivery routes for seamless, cost-effective operations across Wayfair's network. Our Transportation Routing team is dedicated to ensuring every order arrives on time and at the best cost. We work closely with local depots and network planning teams to manage the routing for first- and final-mile deliveries. This team plays a pivotal role in maintaining Wayfair's high standards for customer satisfaction. As a Transport Planner, you'll be responsible for executing daily plans for the US market, optimizing delivery routes, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Your work will directly impact customer experience and drive efficiency across our network. What You'll Do:
- Execute daily outbound plans to meet speed, cost, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Manage and adjust routing software (Descartes) settings to continuously enhance route planning.
- Communicate effectively with depots and planning teams to keep operations running smoothly.
- Analyze and use data to drive improvements in core metrics like route utilization, scheduled stops, and on-time delivery.
- Monitor routes proactively to find ways to improve efficiency and prevent service disruptions.
- Collaborate with the technology teams to provide feedback and suggest process improvements.
Proven experience successfully operating within logistics and /or supply chain as a Transport Planner, Route Planner or similar role. - Strong problem solving skills with ability to find and implement effective solutions quickly.
- Excellent communicator, someone who can engage and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with data analysis to support decision-making.
- Attention to detail and capability of managing multiple tasks while excelling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
