Transport Planner

DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to play a vital role ensuring continuous improvement of planning processes within the transport department. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will

• Planning and optimising own fleet of vehicles
• Planning using CTMS planning software - approx 45-55 loads per day
• Order consolidation and customer bookings via email and telephone
• Working with subcontractor hauliers so able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally - excellent people skills, We will ensure that all our resourcing activities are fair, transparent and consistent across the UK. • Transport Planning / Scheduling experience is essential, ideally in an FMCG environment
• Excellent knowledge of planning principles
• Excellent IT skills including Excel
• Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
