Full Job Description
We are looking for a Transport Scheduler to join the Frontier team, based at Witham St Hughs on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work alongside our forwarding and transport scheduling teams managing the collection and delivery of bulk raw materials from farms and stores to our customers. The movement of grain will be organised both on our own bulk fleet and third-party hauliers., As a Transport Scheduler your role will involve :
- Organising the collection and delivery of grain, food and feed produce.
- Working closely with the company's national bulk fleet team to optimise logistical efficiencies.
- Providing support cover when required within the existing logistics teams.
- Communicating with farmers around contract execution, collection, and delivery.
- Working closely with all departments to make sure our customers are given a professional experience from start to finish.
- Managing Servicing and MOT Schedules
- Working towards company KPI's
- Ensuring we are always safe, legal and compliant
Strong time management and organisational skills - Flexible approach to work and managing changing priorities
- Team player, taking a share of team responsibilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent telephone manner
- Experience of meeting multiple deadlines in a very time sensitive environment
- Self-motivated and tenacious
- Must hold a UK driving licence
- Strong health and safety focus
- Experience of a fast-moving transport environment is desired but not essential
- Knowledge of transport laws, tachographs and working time directives is desirable
