Is this you? Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police Transport Department are seeking skilled a highly motivated Senior Vehicle Technicians to join our team at Basingstoke. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising the workshop team in making decisions on safety & cost effective repairs to police. They will also assist, mentor, encourage and empower new members of the team to learn the skills required as a blue light technician; and assist the workshop manager with dedicated support to individual technicians to embrace new technologies within the police fleet The Senior Vehicle Technician should have a strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills to ensure internal customer satisfaction. The staff, officers and volunteers of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are here so that the people we serve, their families and our communities are safer. To deliver our quality public service, it is vital we can call upon our dynamic Police Fleet. The successful applicant must be able to work under pressure and unsupervised on a variety of cars and vans, including vehicles fitted with police equipment. You must be capable of carrying out the repair process, from fault finding right through to completion, and all vehicle repairs and maintenance to our police fleet should be carried out to a high standard.
