Full Job Description

As a Transport Services Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving and operating a range of vehicles to provide transport services for children, adults, and vulnerable individuals.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers during transport.
  • Collecting and delivering passengers to designated locations.
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle usage.
  • Adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and Council policies., This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
  • All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.

    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence with category B entitlement.
  • Experience in driving and operating vehicles, preferably in a passenger transport environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to passenger transport.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with passengers.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
