Full Job Description

A five shift, key Manager role within the National Hub Control Room and Linehaul Driver Group team, reporting directly to the Control Room Manager. The successful candidate must have the ability to work and manage their own time and have the flexibility to cover afternoon, day and night shifts as required.

  • Work as part of the Control Room management team in order provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure driver compliance processes and procedures are in place and adhered to at all times.
  • Work with the Lead Shunter in order to monitor and improve individual levels of performance and improve health and safety standards.
  • Provide support to nightshift Control Room team and Regional Linehaul managers during peak times and holiday periods
  • Review, develop and deliver Despatcher training.

  • Experience gained working in a similar role
  • Working Knowledge of Control Room procedures and Driver Working Time Directives
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, being able to confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels, in writing and verbally
  • CPC certification
