Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an 18 month temporary contract for a Transport Strategy Officer to join our Transport Strategy and Policy Team and lead the project management for the development and implementation of Local Transport Plan 4. The successful applicant will join a motivated, friendly team of professionals committed to support the development and implementation of Local Plans and the Local Transport Plan to deliver transport infrastructure to enable economic growth, support the delivery of new homes across the County and meet the transport needs and requirements of our communities., Your role will support the Team Manager with the project management of the Local Transport Plan 4 project and support the delivery of the focussed strategies, Multi Modal Area Investment Plans and County Wide Strategic Investment Plans. A key element will be to develop transport evidence bases through the interpretation of data evidenced approach and analysis on integration of national planning and transport policy published by the Government., We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments. - A relevant qualification and/or demonstrable experience commensurate with the role.
- Experience of in the development and/or delivery of transport and land use strategies, policies, plans, associated evidence and alignment with national planning and transport policy.
- Experience of data interpretation and analysis to inform policy and strategy development or understand a developments transport impacts.
- Experience of maintaining effective partnerships and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders which can include statutory, voluntary, private agencies and communities.
- Experience of working to tight timescales to deliver projects and/or programmes on time, to quality and cost.
- Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
- A customer focused approach where the customer experience is central to the delivery of the service. You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
