Transport Supervisor

Pay Rate: £27,000 Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week Location: Rochester (ME2 2BP) DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Supervisor to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To plan and manage the transport operation on a daily basis
• To assist in the contracts H&S requirements
• Daily driver de briefs
• Being the first point of contact for drivers and handling any issues proactively
• Liasising with the customer and production teams where necessary
• Supporting other managers within the operation
• Manage driver performance and SAFED

• Previous and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment (Desirable)
• Can do, passion and right first time attitude
• Ability to Co ordinate a team
• Strong problem solving ability
• Good Communications skills both written and verbally
• Ability to Act independently without direct supervision
• Computer Literate, Training will be given on logistics software packages
