Transport Supervisor

The position of Transport Supervisor involves:

• Provide leadership and supervision of day-to-day transport/warehouse operations.
• You will also be required to work closely with the Transport, Customer services and warehouse admin teams to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
• Coordination activities include Holiday & Sickness cover planning, Operational communications, Health & Safety compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Assisting with team brief topics and documentation.
• Managing the equipment maintenance and service schedule for the operational equipment.
• Monitoring and auditing Health and Safety and compliance.
• Investigating all queries, both internal and external.
• Assisting in production of KPI's and daily statistics.
• Effective control of issuing drivers departures in line with business strategy, enforcing best practice and company process by coaching/development.
• Monitoring the efficient recordings of driver data paying attention to detail and completed in a timely manner.
  
  Experience of working in a similar role is preferred and you should have a good working knowledge of traffic management systems.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
• Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.

• MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  
  Salary for Transport Operator is between £34,000pa - £35,689pa, depending on experience.
• Hours of work are based on 4on 4off rota, from 05:00hrs - 17:00hrs.
