Full Job Description

The Trauma-Informed Lived Experience Practitioner will:
+ Co-develop and co-deliver training to staff, people with mental health difficulties and carers. Training will relate to areas such as trauma, trauma-informed approaches, mental health difficulties, interventions for trauma and skills development. This is not exhaustive, and the content will depend on the needs of the services involved.
+ Adapt development and delivery of training for the audience and setting, recognising that attendees will be adults of all ages and backgrounds, and as such the training must be sensitive to a range of needs.
+ Support the development of knowledge and skills during training through sharing the wisdom of their own lived experience. Inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible.
+ Contribute to training and wider service administration, for example: helping to organise the training, collating registers of attendees and collating attendee feedback.
+ Contribute to training and wider service evaluation, supporting the use of relevant and appropriate outcome measures.
+ Under guidance, conduct literature reviews and contribute to the write-up and dissemination of service evaluation and audit.
+ Contribute using their lived experience insights to trauma-informed projects the service are involved with, and to service development.
+ Work closely with the Lived Experience Lead and other relevant staff as required.
+ Attend pre- and post-training support meetings, and regular supervision.
