Full Job Description

Accounting & Reporting Excellence : Lead Financial Forecasting : Spearhead the budgeting and regular forecasting for treasury activities and departmental costs, including overheads, interest expenses, and financing charges. Your work will be supported by robust variance analysis and actionable insights

  • Elevate Management Reporting : Contribute to our monthly management accounts, including insightful dashboard reporting, performance analysis against KPIs, and detailed commentary that drives decision-making.
  • Drive Month-End Success : Manage treasury-related entries in the general ledger, ensuring the seamless and timely completion of month-end and year-end processes.
  • Own Key Reconciliations : Lead the reconciliation of key treasury control accounts, adhering to strict deadlines while delivering clear and comprehensive working papers.
  • Ensure Compliance & Accuracy : Prepare hedge effectiveness calculations, post relevant journals, and work closely with external treasury advisors and auditors to maintain compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage FRS 102 Calculations : Take charge of FRS 102 calculations related to PA's borrowings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead Treasury Ledger Management : Oversee the accounting ledger for PA's treasury SPV, managing monthly transactions and the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Support Statutory Reporting : Assist the Treasury Finance Manager in preparing detailed treasury notes for statutory accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain Accurate Cash Records : Keep precise and reliable cash books for key treasury bank accounts, and perform timely bank reconciliations.
  • Controls & Compliance Mastery :
  • Forecast with Precision : Anticipate year-end positions under PA's loan covenants, providing valuable insights for inclusion in the monthly management accounts.
  • Verify Year-End Results : Perform thorough year-end calculations to validate actual out-turns under loan covenants, collaborating with PA's auditors to ensure accuracy.
  • Strengthen Control Systems : Partner with the Treasury Finance Manager to develop and enforce workflows within PA's treasury management system, ensuring they deliver robust and effective controls.
  • Monitor & Report Compliance : Continuously monitor and report on the compliance of treasury activities with approved policies and limits, ensuring all activities align with our financial standards.
  • Innovate Treasury Systems : Contribute to the ongoing development of PA's treasury management system, particularly regarding its accounting interfaces, driving improvements and efficiencies.
